Aureum captures the glow of light emerging through layers of shadow, where warmth, atmosphere and movement gather across a richly tonal landscape.

Derived from the Latin word meaning golden or gilded, Aureum reflects the warmth and luminosity that sits at the heart of the composition. Set against deep chocolate, umber and smoke-toned layers, gestures of gold, ivory and softened blue emerge through the surface, creating a deep sense of depth. 

Measuring 214 x 124cm, this work is framed in a chocolate timber float frame and painted with premium acrylic on 12oz cotton duck canvas.

At 214cm wide, Aureum works best as a hero piece on a generous wall, ideally one at least 2.6 metres across to give the composition breathing room on either side. Its landscape format suits placement above a long sofa, sideboard or dining table, where its chocolate, umber and gold tones can anchor the room.
