The Laird

The room is claimed. The fire holds its heat. The decanter is lifted with intention.

Blackberry and dark plum lead, edged with mocha and seasoned oak. Across the surface, warmth moves in layered sweeps of burnished gold and soft salmon, richly textured and alive with movement. The colour does not sit flat. It rises and folds back into itself, building depth through weight and gesture.

Structure is undeniable and the composition creates balance, much like a fine wine held in perfect proportion. Texture is expressive and layered with depth. Light strikes the raised elements, catching on their surfaces and amplifying their presence.

Small in scale, commanding in effect, this work carries weight beyond its dimensions.
